Fun in the Sun: Summer Camp
Summers are for summer camps and more nature! Last year my friends and I did a gardening activity with Syrian refugee children in Istanbul, Turkey. It was amazing to see how therapeutic and calming it was for the kids to connect with nature. The plants adorned their classrooms and they loved it. This year I had the pleasure of doing a few activities with the children in the Charleston community. From learning about succulents, to annuals, and perennials the kids enjoyed themselves and got creative.
Can’t believe summer is almost over, but definitely ready for a second spring that is fall. Have a wonderful last few days of summer!
